Three very special supercharged Shelby Signature Edition Mustangs on their way to South Africa are looking for owners. The 600 kW Edelbrock supercharged 5-litre V8 conversions are done at the official Shelby SA Western Cape Mod Shop. They pay tribute to the the legendary Carroll Shelby in true muscle car fashion.
A DEVILISH SOUNDTRACK
Shelby American spent two years refining the Signature Edition Mustang. It gets a Borla quad-exhaust system to deliver a devilish V8 soundtrack punctuated by the supercharger’s serpentine whine. Add tuned MagnaRide suspension, new 6-pot Brembo brakes up front and 4 piston clamps at the rear.
That aggro stance comes courtesy of broader new aluminium fenders. They make space for those forged monoblock wheels. The special edition Mustang gets a steel ram air hood and revised front end treatment to best manage under-bonnet temperatures. There’s a spoiler and diffuser at the back, sandwiching a new tail panel between the taillights.
