Motorsport Collector’s Edition a Roadster with an F1 Look

Mercedes-AMG is issuing a run of 100 so-called SL 63 Motorsport Collector’s Editions packing a Formula 1 look with paintwork to match its 2023 W E Performance F1 racer. Billed as the performance arm’s means of getting in the mood for Mercedes’ new Formula 1 season, the SL 63 MCE’s most striking feature is its high-tech metallic paint job.

Special SL Celebrates AMG’s Next F1 Car
Arrow Silver up front the shiny paintwork steps through a color gradient to obsidian black at the rear. Other features include lumo Petronas turquoise contrasts for the front apron, side sills and rear diffuser. And the F1 car’s star pattern in that black rear treatment.
Motorsport Collector’s Edition further features exclusive matt black finished ten-double-spoke AMG 21-inch forged wheels. With turquoise-tip rim flanges. There’s also a custom aero package with larger flics on the front and rear aprons nicked from AMG’s SL63 night package. Add a black soft-top, black brake calipers and dark internal head and taillight trim.

Motorsport Collector’s Edition a Full Spec Special
As you’d expect, SL 63 Motorsport Collector’s Edition has a cockpit dominated by an ambient lit yellow topstitched black carbon and nappa leather microfibre trim. The AMG performance seats get crest embossed headrests. Add an AMG driver assistance package, heads-up display, and Burmester sound system for the MBUX infotainment.
It’s powered by AMG’s regular 440 kW all-wheel drive’s powertrain. Expect your MCE to add a little less than R500K to the price of a regular SL 63. Should any ever make it to SA.
