MAX 3 IS MACHINE GUN FIRE RESISTANT
Specialised South African armoured vehicle manufacturer SVI Engineering has just launched this cost effective multi-role Max 3 civilian utility vehicle. Its built on the trusted 151 kW 430 Nm 4.5-litre turbodiesel V8 Toyota Land Cruiser 79-series chassis. The SVI Cruiser is re-bodied in dramatic AK47, R1 and other assault rifle and riot attack resistant EN1063 B6 level ballistic occupant protected style.
The upgrade designed to deflect terrorist attack, also includes upgraded suspension, wheels and tyres. For improved go-anywhere ability and ride comfort. SVI also offers B7 and blast protection for the Max 3 Cruiser. It is available in single or double cab incarnation. Or as an armoured personnel carrier.
Max 3is available as a civilian vehicle. Designed to tackle mining security, riot control, civil security, anti-poaching and convoy protection roles. Certain private owners will likely feel the need to ride one down Sandton or de Waal Drive too.
A MILITARY SVI MAX 3 IS ALSO AVAILABLE
The military configuration Max 3 is transportable in a C130 freight aircraft. It comes fitted with weapon mounts for .50 calibre pintle, 60mm Scorpion and 81mm mortar remote weapon systems. It is also customer communication and similar equipment ready.
SVI builds MAX 3’s CAD manufacture armoured steel shell inhouse. Its modular design allows for short delivery times of three months for batches of up to 20 units. Max 3comes in either left or right-hand drive. Servicing is simplified thanks to Max 3’s standard Toyota base. Off-road applications require 5000 km intervals.
Prices start from R1.85-million and includes a standard SVI warranty of 1-year or 50 000 km warranty for road use.
