PEUGEOT 5008 facelift brings even more new tech, style
Peugeot is the latest carmaker to jump on the recent facelift bandwagon with the 5008. The smart half-bus half-SUV is now even smarter thanks to a cool new look and a heap of additional electronic equipment. it will follow the recently renovated 3008 to market early in 2021.
Spacious, the 4.64m long seven-seater 5008 already packed up to 1940 litres of cargo space and has undergone an extensive redesign. It’s frameless grille is blends into the latest lighting technology full-LED daytime running headlights. Their Foggy Mode does away with fog lights. Their intensity adapts to mist conditions when the rear fog light is activated. The taillights are also now full LED units.
Spectacular 5008 cockpit improves
5008’s already spectacular 12.3 inch digital i-cockpit is now even better. Thanks to a higher contrast ‘Normally Black’ display tech and new 10-inch multimedia. New fabrics include red nappa in GT models, there are options like infrared night vision and extended traffic sign recognition. The revised brake assistant has pedestrian recognition and lane keeping stop & go proximity cruise control.
An expanded range of engines will include a 96 kW gasoline and diesel pair in manual or automatic. The 133 kW 1.6-litre Pure-Tech petrol and 130kW 2-litre Blue HDI turbodiesel come with a new 8-speed automatic only.
