Toyota’s baby new Vitz comes with Kinto Mobility twist

Toyota Motor Corporation’s new ‘Kinto Mobility for All’ concept now available on the new baby Vitz is about to change how you drive forever. Introduced quietly over the past few years, Toyota’s new mobility arm, Kinto, intends to revolutionise the global shift from conventional car ownership to car usage. Rather than owners buying one car, Kinto allows them to drive any Toyota or Lexus that they want to drive. And drive it when they want to drive it, without being tied down to a conventional financing model.
Derived from a Japanese word that describes a magical cloud that appears whenever you need it, to carry you away, Kinto is Toyota’s global mobility brand designed to provide whatever service you need to get you moving. And now, KINTO has introduced its revolutionary new pay-for-use mobility solution for the first time on Toyota’s all-new baby Vitz.
Not just hassle free, but more affordable too, the new Kinto One, a pay-for-use service will put a brand new Vitz 1.0 MT on your driveway for all of R2 999 per month for 12 months or 18,000km. Kinto One includes the ability to drive any other Toyota or Lexus specced to your choice with financing and depreciation costs. That also includes all scheduled services and maintenance, and warranty items for the contract period, connected Telematics, stolen vehicle recovery and initial license and registration, for total peace of mind.

So you use your new Vitz for a year at a set and transparent monthly payment with no additional hidden costs And just return the vehicle at the end of the contract. Kinto One is a completely flexible. Your monthly mileage and contract period can be amended at any point during the contract. Kinto SA will soon roll out many other mobility product services in line with market requirements.

Free-revving 49 kW 89 Nm triple
Punchy, thanks to a low 825 kg kerb mass Vitz not only complements its free-revving and thermally-efficient 49 kW 89 Nm twin-injection triple-cylinder engine, but that light weight also improves nimbleness, handling, and dynamics. That’s complemented by MacPherson strut front and weight and packaging optimised torsion beam rear suspension. Never mind best possible fuel economy at those petrol prices.
It is available in 5-speed manual or clutchless automated manual transmissions driving the front wheels. Vitz adds stop-start technology, a feature usually only found on higher-end vehicles. All to ensure your super frugal Vitz returns a stunning 4.2 litres per hundred kilometres consumption with the automated gearbox. Or just 4.4 l/100km in the stick-shift manual.
Bold and assertive, the new Toyota Vitz comes in seven straight or iridescent metallic hues. Range-topping XR models add colour-matched doorknobs and power wing mirrors, glossy smoked 15-inch alloys and front foglamps. Its four doors and hatchback access a spacious cabin with ample front and rear legroom. A class-leading 295 litre boot opens up to a cavernous space via a 60/40 split rear sea. A variety of storage spaces and cupholders serve all occupants.

A roulette-wheel inspired speedo with inset TFT that houses the rev counter and trip computer. It sits on a swoopy dash design. Silver satin and chrome finishes contrast with carbon-fibre-look door cards inserts. And around the Carplay, Auto, Bluetooth and USB infotainment surround. Vitz has standard four-speaker sound, tilt adjustable power multifunction steering, and rear parking sensors.
Add power windows, air conditioning, remote central locking, and an immobilizer with integrated alarm. A comprehensive safety suite stems from a far stiffer chassis band and is backed by a long list of active and passive systems. They include ABS and EBD braking, VSC and Hill-Assist Control on AMT models. Add dual front driver and passenger airbags, force limited pretensioner front seatbelts, child locks and ISOFIX child restraints.

The Toyota Vitz comes with a 3-year 100,000 km warranty. And a 2-year 30,000 km Service Plan and at annual or 15,000 km intervals.
