Mahindra South Africa took pride of place in the global reveal of the new Scorpio-N and XUV 700. It went down via a live crossing from India as the physical example had the wraps removed at Gerotek. At the same time the company showed off its new logo dubbed Twin Peaks.

All new XUV700

The XUV700 arrives in South Africa with a host of futuristic technologies designed to make it stand out. XUV700 is powerd by a new 147 kW 380 Nm 2 litre mSTALLION GDi turbo-petrol. Or a a brand-new 136 kW 450 Nm 2.2 litre CRDe turbodiesel mHAWK engine. It is front or all-wheel driven through a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Featuring modern technology at every touchpoint in a “sci-fi tech” cockpit. It has several innovative features including a new Superscreen. That combines two 10.25” screens into one immersive display of vehicle and entertainment information.

A new Global NCAP flag XUV700 has a unique tubular high-tensile steel ring structure. For greatest structural integrity and a full five-star adult safety rating. Bigger, bolder, more powerful, sophisticated, and laden with safety and technology. The Scorpio-N nomenclature raises the game to the power of N. Powered by Mahindra’s 150 kW 380 Nm TGDi mStallion Petrol and 130 kW 400 Nm mHawk turbodiesel engine. It comes in both 6-speed Manual and Automatic Transmissions, 4X4 is an option.

An optimised latest generation body-on-frame structure gets penta-link rear suspension.
