PORSCHE PANAMERA range now offers choice of three hybrid models
Porsche has unleashed a mad new 700 horsepower Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid that it claims will rocket to 100 km/h in all of 3.2 seconds.The 315 km/h super saloon is 5 km/h faster too. Zufferhausen has also released a third Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. It does a 4.4 second 0 to 100 km/h and 280 km/h. .
The latest additions join the recently unveiled 412 kW Panamera 4S E in a new three-car Panamera Hybrid range. It’s all part of Porsche’s systematically E-Performance strategy extension.
THE GEARBOX HOUSES A 100 kW e-motor
The new 514 kW 870 Nm flagship matches Porsche’s 420 kW four-litre biturbo V8 with a 100 kW e-motor now mounted within the the eight-speed dual-clutch transmissior. The V8 gains 16 kW on the outgoing lump and comes standard with the performance Sport Chrono package.
Same applies to the new 340 kW 2.9-litre biturbo V6 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid with the same 100kW 400 Nm PDK-integrated electric motor. Porsche says the new electric motor brings outstanding driving performance with the different combustion engines on offer.
The new Turbo S E-Hybrid’s 50 km all-electric range represents a 30% improvement. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid driven with zero local emissions for up to 56 km. That thanks to a new optimised cell battery, which capacity increases from 14.1 to 17.9 KWh. along with optimised driving modes.
Charge PANAMERA HYBRID up at home
Porsche recommends that its plug-in hybrids are charged at home. Via a regular outlet or a power socket. A model-specific charging capacity of up to 7.2 kW is possible with the standard Porsche Mobile Charger. Or they can be charged at public charging points using a Mode 3 cable
Dual C-shaped Turbo lights and larger side intakes set the new Panamera flagship apart. Along with all the regular options and features. That includes new 20 and 21-inch wheels and two new metallic exterior colours, Cherry and Truffle Brown. Add higher display resolution Porsche Communication Management with wireless Apple CarPlay.
Panamera order books are open, with first deliveries at the end of the year.
